APPLICATION
The method of application depends on how Bonding Liquid is being used within the selected system.
As a Bonding Primer
Ensure the surface is clean, sound and free from dust, dirt, oil, grease, loose material and other contaminants that may interfere with adhesion.
Apply Bonding Liquid evenly to the correctly prepared surface using a suitable brush or roller.
The subsequent repair, plaster, slurry or cementitious application must be carried out according to the applicable system instructions.
In Bonding Slurries or Cementitious Applications
Bonding Liquid may be incorporated into suitable bonding slurries and cementitious repair systems where improved adhesion is required.
The correct quantity and mixing method will depend on the particular application and approved system.

COVERAGE / SPREAD RATE
Coverage will depend on:
• Surface porosity
• Surface texture
• Application method
• Substrate condition
• Whether the product is being used as a primer or within a cementitious system
Because Bonding Liquid can be used in different ways, the appropriate coverage or mixing requirement should be confirmed according to the intended application and applicable technical information.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Before application:
• Remove all loose and friable material.
• Remove dust, dirt, grease, oil and other contaminants.
• Remove unsound or poorly bonded existing material.
• Repair significant defects where required.
• Ensure the substrate is structurally sound and suitable for the intended repair or coating system.
Correct preparation is essential to achieving dependable adhesion.
IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
• Do not apply over dirty, oily, loose or unstable substrates.
• Do not use as a standalone decorative or protective finishing coating.
• Do not use over structural cracks or movement without the appropriate repair system.
• Application and mixing requirements may differ according to the intended use.
• Do not assume one mixing ratio is suitable for every cementitious application.
• Surface condition and porosity can affect product consumption and performance.
